Understand the fault before choosing a repair

Greenbank Solar welcomes enquiries about solar maintenance, inverter faults, battery concerns and monitoring problems in Greenbank and surrounding areas. Tell us what changed, when it started and the exact equipment involved. We can discuss the appropriate assessment and confirm the available service scope before a visit.

Lower generation is a symptom, not a diagnosis

Weather, seasonal sunlight, shading and changes in household consumption can affect what you see in an app or bill. A monitoring outage can also create gaps even where equipment is still operating. Compare like-for-like periods and record any inverter error code. Electrical faults need a qualified assessment; an app screenshot alone cannot establish the cause.

What to send with your enquiry

  • Your address and contact details.
  • Panel, inverter and battery make and model, if known.
  • Installation date and whether Greenbank Solar supplied the system.
  • The exact fault message and when it appears.
  • Recent monitoring screenshots and a description of any storm or other event.
  • Your installation invoice or warranty documents where relevant.

Photograph only what is safely accessible from the ground. Do not remove covers, touch exposed wiring or enter a damaged area to collect information.

Maintenance, repair and warranty are different

A maintenance enquiry may lead to inspection, performance review or advice on the next investigation. Repair requires the fault and suitable replacement parts to be identified. A warranty enquiry also needs the applicable product documents and installation history. Ask what the assessment includes, which tests or reports are proposed and whether any separately quoted work requires your approval.

Australian Consumer Law guarantees are separate from a manufacturer warranty and cannot be excluded. Where a consumer guarantee applies, the remedy depends on the circumstances. Our Warranty Q and A explains how to report a suspected fault and provide supporting information.

Equipment and compatibility

Ask about AIKO, TCL SunPower and REC panels; GoodWe, iStore and Solis inverters; and GoodWe ESA/Lynx, iStore, EcoFlow and Dyness batteries. Availability and service suitability must be confirmed for the exact model. This does not imply manufacturer authorisation or compatibility between every product. A replacement may require a revised system design rather than a direct swap.

Storm or suspected hail damage

If solar or battery equipment has been damaged, arrange assessment by a licensed electrical contractor before it is recommissioned. Drone imagery can help document conditions but does not replace an electrical safety assessment. A thermal hotspot by itself does not prove hail damage, its cause or insurance coverage.

Monitoring and Wi-Fi

Your router, internet provider and home Wi-Fi are third-party services. Missing online data needs to be distinguished from an equipment fault. Read our Wi-Fi reconnection guide before requesting monitoring support. Installation scope and responsibility for any supplied communications equipment still need to be checked.
