Make better use of your solar energy
Battery storage can retain some surplus daytime solar generation for use later. Greenbank Solar assesses your existing equipment, electricity use and backup priorities before recommending a system. The aim is a practical match between generation, storage and the loads you need to supply.
GoodWe ESA and Lynx options
GoodWe offers energy storage inverters and battery families for different applications. We discuss ESA system options and Lynx batteries, checking the exact inverter and battery pairing for your property. A family name does not mean every model works with every inverter. Your proposal identifies the equipment, usable storage and intended operating arrangement.
iStore inverters and batteries
iStore inverter and battery combinations provide another route to an integrated solar and storage system. We assess the proposed capacity, installation location and compatibility with existing equipment. Read more about iStore inverters and iStore batteries.
EcoFlow options
EcoFlow products can be considered where they suit the application. Portable power and a permanently installed home energy system serve different needs. Tell us whether you want portable supply, everyday household storage or outage backup so we can discuss appropriate equipment and any installation requirements.
Battery storage and blackout backup are different
A battery used for everyday energy management does not automatically supply the whole property during an outage. Backup depends on the inverter, switching arrangement, battery output and the circuits selected. We discuss essential loads such as refrigeration, lighting and communications and identify any limits in the proposal.
Large loads, including air conditioning and EV charging, need particular attention. Power output and stored energy are separate limits: a battery may hold enough energy but still be unable to start or run all appliances together. Solar recharging during an outage is also dependent on the system design.
Adding a battery to existing solar
We review the current inverter, array, switchboard and wiring before recommending a retrofit. The assessment may identify inverter replacement or other electrical work. Send the model details of your current inverter, a recent electricity bill and photos of the proposed battery location with your enquiry.
How much storage do I need?
Evening consumption, available surplus solar and backup goals guide sizing. Choosing capacity by house size alone can leave storage underused or unable to meet your expectations. We discuss your usage pattern and future changes before selecting equipment.
What we check before installation
- Electrical supply, switchboard and metering.
- Manufacturer compatibility and equipment ratings.
- Battery location, access and installation clearances.
- Essential backup circuits and expected operating limits.
- Applicable connection requirements and commissioning.
We support Greenbank and nearby areas including New Beith, Boronia Heights, Browns Plains, Jimboomba and Flagstone, subject to site availability. Planning a new system? See our solar panels and inverters guide.
